ARENA HIRE – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. One outdoor riding arena, 60m x 40m with a Turfloat surface, is available to hire on a hourly basis.

2. The arena will always be divided into two and let individually, with one half for flatwork use and the other half for showjumping use.

3. The cost for hire is:  flatwork arena                       £8 per horse per hour

                                            showjumping arena              £15 per horse per hour

                          additional charge of £5 per additional horse per hour (both arenas)

4. The whole arena (subject to availability) may be available for exclusive hire for an additional charge with the showjumps moved/cleared/put back accordingly by the hirer.

5. Use of the arena is entirely at the hirer’s own risk.  All hirer’s are advised to check the arena before entering to ensure that it has been left in a safe condition by the previous occupant, for example check for jump cups left on wings which do not carry a pole, jumps cups left on the ground, lunge whips left on the ground, etc.

6. Hard hats to current BSI standard to be worn at all times whilst mounted.

7. Correct footwear to be worn at all times.

8. All droppings (in arena or car park) to be picked up and deposited in muck skip provided.

9. All equipment to be put back where it was found (including jumps).

10. NO climbing over gates or fences – ALL damages will be charged for.

11. Damage caused to the showjumps will be charged for at the new replacement value plus carriage.

12. Litter is to be taken home with you.

13. NO dogs allowed on the premises.

14. Any trainers/instructors must have public liability insurance in place with an indemnity limit of at least £2,500,000.

15. The showjump poles are NOT to be used as trotting/canter/placing poles or ridden over whilst on the ground. Only the blue square poles provided are to be used for this purpose.

16. Payment is to be left in the post box provided as soon as you have finished in the arena.  

17. Any future bookings are to be written in the Arena Booking Diary (in wooden box next to arena gate), with full name and contact telephone number left.

18. If you are using the showjumps, you are to check the heights and striding distances yourself – the heights and striding left by the previous occupant, may not be suitable for your horse.

19. Vicarage Farm Cattery Limited will not be liable for any damage caused whatsoever to vehicles, animals, trailers, lorries, individuals, etc. whilst using the arena.
